Joy of the Season Cartridge Showcase!

Hey Everyone!

Ttoday I am sharing some fun projects showcasing the Joys of the Seasons Cartridge over at My Paper Crafting. Joys of the Seasons is a great cartridge for the impending Christmas Season (which I am SOOOO excited for)!

For my first project, I created an ornament. I stared out with a glass ornament that I got at Michael's recently (40% off)! I squired a lot of glitter paint into it and let it let the excess drip out overnight. Then I simply cut out the mitten with Square 1 vinyl, added the year with stickers, and a big bow at the top!

The second project is an altered wall hanging.

This is what it came like for $1.50 at Michael’s:

Then I scraped the sticker off, by submersing it in soapy warm water and using my amazing pampered chef scrapper!

I then cut out the star from the cartridge out in vinyl, but the words were cut out using my cameo, and I got this!

(I just realized that I forgot the word "in" before Bethlehem, whoops, I will fix that)

This last project is something new for me! Megan from Above Rubies Studios made a necklace using a similar technique recently . I cut out the doves at 4" assembled it, then modge podged it so it would hold up, and added vellum to back! And of course I added the year! I plan to give this to my cousin who got married this past year!

I hope you like them and are inspired to make some of your own Christmas creations!

Have a great Day.

  1. Awesome projects, Court! I love the fun colors on your first ornament and I know your cousin will love the "Turtle Doves" ornament you made. Great idea to re-purpose that clearance aisle cutting board into something wonderful for the holidays!

Thanks for doing the showcase with me -- it was fun teaming up with you. We must do it again sometime soon! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
