Memorial Day with CWC!

The Challenge over at Cooking with the Cricut this week is to make something with a Memorial Day theme. I made this Patriotic cupcake card. I think I may give it to my neighbor who was in the army along with some real cupcakes, but I don't know yet.  I used pattern paper from DCW and the Sweet Treats Cartridge

Wedding Card

Hi!

I made this long card for a family friend getting married. I attended the ceremony last Friday, ( it was perfect, the bride was drop dead gorgeous) but I did not get around to post it until now. I used the paper rossets from my previous post, a sparkly ribbon, and a "forever" stamp- pretty simple right?.

It turned out pretty good I think. what do you think?

I have Another Project for you tomorrow.

Thanks For Stopping by.

Paper Rosetts

I watched a few videos on YouTube and learned how to make paper rosettes. First you score an entire piece of 12 by 12 card stock at every quarter inch. Then, cut 1.5 inch strips. Fold the paper accordion style and create a circle. Next, cut a 1 inch piece of scrap paper and add hot glue to it. Fold the circle in at the center and attach it to the scrap paper. You can then add a gem or pearl to the center. They do not turn out perfect, but the still look pretty cool!

Cute Cupcake Cards!

I am in a total cupcake mode. I think they are just so cute (and yummy)!

I love the cupcakes on the Sweet Treats cart and I made these cards with it:

I used zebra paper, ribbon, and my cuttle bug also.

I also used the cupcake on the Doodlecharms cart to make this card:

I used pop dots to add dimension. I also added pearls and layered two ribbons.

Thanks for stopping bye!

This is what I came up for the LAYOUT CHALLENGE. I just cut out a bunch of randomly sized circles and added two pictures. Not my favorite.

Challenge #5

The Challenge this time was to make a 3-D item. I made a cute little set of gift boxes shaped as a bride and groom. I think these would make cool wedding favors. To bad I'm not getting married. I used the Tie the Knot cartridge. They were both cut at 10 1/4.

Here they Are!!!!!!!

Challenge #4

The theme of this challenge was Mother's Day. I had already made all the card I needed for mother's day, but I still participated. I made a flower card. I used the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge, flower #33. I folded four of the flowers in quarters and attached them to the fifth flower on an Angle. I also used i lime green leaf and the circle for the middle. I added my sentiment to the center of the flower. The felt paper was very hard to use and was shedding all over!

Here it is!!!!!

In this photo you can see the dimension.

Second NSD Challenge

The second challenge was to MAKE A MANS CARD USING CRAFT CARD STOCK. I used the golfer from the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. I tore the green paper to make it look more masculine. I created the sentiment on the computer.

Here it is!!!

First Challenge

The First Challenge over at My Pink Stamper was ANYTHING CUPCAKE. So, I made a cupcake shaped card. I used the Create a critter cartridge and cut out 2 cupcakes at 4 1/4 on the shadow feature. Then I scored the back one, added adhesive above the line, and attached the front cupcake. Then I cut out layer 1 using the polka- dot paper, layer 2 using light pink (I embossed this with the Cuttlebug folder Divine Swirls). The cherry is cut in the darkest pink.

Here it is!!!!

Wednesday, May 4, 2011

I have  been spending a lot of time in my craft corner lately.

I made 40 3 inch horses for the Kentucky Derby. I used the Create a Critter cartridge for this. I will add the #s 1-20 to them: They will be used as 2 sets of raffle tickets.

I also made 2 summery cards with the Life's a Beach cartridge. I cut the Bucket out at 3 inches and used paper from Die Cuts With a View ( DCW.) I think it turned out really cute.

Sending you hugs
