Paint Chip Card

I haven't been over her in a while, but if you are missing me (I doubt you are, but anyways) go subscribe to A Little Craft In Your Day, my new blog! Or like to our Facebook page! Either way you will be updated on all the cool post's going down over there! This experience  although its still in the beginning phases has been so good for me and I just love it!!

But this blog is my roots, where i started, so I am going to try my very best to not neglect it!

Today I have a card to share with you all today!

We are in the process of redoing 3 bedrooms in our house. Basically playing musical rooms, but hey, whatever keeps the boat afloat! So what happens when you redo rooms? You need to pick a paint color, this is a struggle in my house.  Its hard to guess what the entire room is going to look like from just a little swatch! But in the process of picking out the best color, you accumulate paint swatches!

I took advantage of this situation and used them to make this card:

I stared with a kraft card base embossed with my hero arts background stamp. All of the colorful pieces are paint chips. The heart is hand drawn, I was lazy and didn't want to bother with a diecut machine.

Its a pretty simple card, but i think its bright and cheery, perfect for the weather we have been having here this week!

Have a great Day everyone! Tomorrow is friday!!

Cards for Claire!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

When I get out of school at the end of the day, Easter break begins! So fun! Anyways, this past weekend a couple of friends and myself made cards for an adorable little girl, Claire! Claire is this month's recipient for Madison's wonderful I Feel The Love Program. She is fighting bone cancer, but she is gonna beat it! You can read the full story HERE!

This is the card my friend, Cecilia, made for Claire:

(sorry for the not so hot pics)

Cecilia personally knows Clair and I know that she hates seeing her little friend suffer, I mean i can't even imagine. But she is doing her part, by keeping her sprits high with fun FaceTime conversations and by raising money for the cause by selling bracelets (email me if you are interested in purchasing one)! Here is a picture of Cecilia and Claire:

Here is the Card my friend, Kirsten, made:

And here is the card I made:

Thanks for stopping by and please consider making a card for this sweet little girl!

Febuary I feel The Love!

Hey Everyone!
Well recently I have been reflecting on my life and attitude towards life, and I realized that their needs to be a change. I'm not exactly sure what that entails, but 1 small part of it I am going to share with you today! My life has gotten really busy lately, and I have had to accommodate that, but I went around it all wrong. I stopped doing as much for other people, instead of cutting the quiet time before bed I use for me. So I am going to try instead of pintresting thinks I honestly won't even attempt half of, to do little things for others, weather that is making them a card, sending a thoughtful email, helping a family friend achieve a goal, or reading to my sister.
Tonight I started by finally making a card for Madison's amazing cause, The I Feel The Love Project. This organization is so close to my heart because it perfectly blends my crafting hobby with helping others by bringing a smile to their face during a difficult time. This month Madison is collecting cards for Alana, a victim of Hurricane Sandy.

I made this card for Alana:

I hope this post reminded you that we can make small changes in our life and when you add all your small acts together they could make a impact!

Hope all is well in your life and you should definitely create a card for Alana! more info HERE

A truly Lovely Blog Hop!

Hey and welcome to A Lovely Blog Hop!
If you have just stumbled upon this blog hop you can follow along by starting at the most amazing crafter/blogger/ and person you'll ever meet, Jill at Every Day is an Occasion. If you have been following along you should have come from Arin's awesome and inspiring blog.

The idea behind this blog hop is to make a Valentine's day project, card, etc.. . I decided to make a super simple card that you could still mass produce before the big day!

I used letter stickers to mask of the word "love." (You can also uses square 1!) Then I inked to my heart's desire, added a chipboard "I" and wrote the word "you" with a white gel pen.

I think it came out pretty cool, what do YOU think?

Thanks so much for following along! I am so glad you took the time out of your busy schedule to stop by and I really hope you were inspired along the way!

Your next stop is the amazingly creative Missy
Have a great day!

**Thank you so much Jill for putting this whole thing together, I am so honored to be included with this fantastic group of women!

Wedding Table Numbers

Happy Thursday everyone!
Tomorrow is Friday wooh hoo! I will be spending mine at a retreat and strengthening my relationship with God! What are your all's plans?

Today I have a cool project to share with you that my mom mom and I worked on last weekend. We  were asked to make table numbers for my cousins, so of course we said "Yes"! I think they look quite stunning but only require minimal supplies!

Here is what you will need:

-stands (use your 50% off coupon)
-2 colors of card stock
-satin ribbon
-and an embellishment (we used a metal flower sticker -form Michel's scrapbook aisle)

assembly is supper easy! make sure to cinch the ribbon in the middle with a piece of twin or something!

We thought that 4 by six was the best size, but you can make yours bigger or smaller.

Here Is a close up of what we actually made:

I really hope she likes them!

Have a FABULOUS day!

CHA was a Blast!

Hey Everyone!

I have been home from Winter 2013 CHA for a week now, and just doing catch up work and adjusting back to EST time! So, I finally have a little time to pull together a post to share with you!

First of all the 3 days I spent at CHA were the funniest days of my ENTIRE life! If you EVER have a chance to go, GO!

On the Friday before the show started, my family met Tanner Bell and his mom for lunch and fun in LA!

We had a blast, and formed instant friendships! We all have lots of new friends!

Then, we headed to the big Show! We got to meet so many people and had fun looking at all the different booths!

My life is now complete. We met THE Kristina Werner! She was SOOO sweet and even sat and talked to us for a little while.

My best crafty friends! It was so nice to meet them in person!

Theresa was so cool, and her line is out of this world!

My mommy, who isn't a crafter what so ever, even did some make and takes!

We ran in to, Heather Mann (Dollar Store Crafts) and Crafty Chica and the fabulous iLove to create booth!

Me and the super awesome Erin Madsen! She is super nice and works for like the coolest paper company around!

And last, but definitely not least, Stephanie Barnard at the Sixix Booth!

Tanner, filmed a show for a new online TV channel! So cool, and he did a great job!

We LOVE Mod Podge! One of the things you just can't craft without!

Jade (Jaderbomb) is probably the COOLEST person you will ever meet! Wish we could have spent more time with her, but so glad we ran into her at the Fave Crafts networking Party!

Jenny (Craft Test Dummies) is my inspiration in the craft/blog world! And she was nice in person too!

Tanner and I weren't the only teenage crafters there! Jillian Vance was there too! ) So happy we got to meet, like 5 minutes before I left!

Sorry for the picture overload! Tanner also vlogged (video blogging) like our entire trip! You can watch them HERE

Thanks for stopping by and have a great night!
